Thakur's Vedic Ideals
- Thakur's Vedic Ideals are based on science, logic, mathematics and tune. He is trying to awaken the inner consciousness of the people, liberating them from superstition and dogma.
- Thakur says that no one is entitled to claim any credit for any invention here. We are all carrier and propagator of the universal truth. Like sun, moon, planets and stars, we are all workers of this great universe.
- Just as the tape recorder is not the singer, we are also not the discoverer of anything. Everything exists here for a purpose. We are a part of the tune of the eternal music and flowing with it.
- Our desire to reveal Nature's truth is also Nature's inherent gift because the object of Nature is to express and reveal her eternal tune to all.
What the Vedas Declare...
- In the Vedic times, each and everybody, be he king or a subject, rich or poor, were associated with the profession of agriculture. Agriculture used to be considered as a holy profession in Vedic period.
- Vedas declared that not a single soul must pass a day without food. There must not be beggary in society. In Vedic age, perfect order was maintained for an equitable food distribution system.
- In the Vedic age, there was no hoarding of food items or anything. The Vedas declared hoarders as evil-doers. They were termed as exploiters and the people were ordered to fight against such evil doers.
- The great knowledge within the great space are the Vedas.
Introduction
"RAM NARAYAN RAM"

Sri Sri Balak Brahmachari was born with divine powers. Thousands of people from all walks of life were attracted to his grace and spiritualism and his vast treasure of cosmic truth that he propagated amongst common people. His life is entwined with the lives of his millions of disciples and devotees.
He said, " The entire universe is founded on the principles of harmony, equality and unity. But unfortunately nowadays religion is being practiced by vested groups as a commercial activity causing artificial divisions in our society in the name of caste, community, race or language. This principle of divide and rule has crippled our society in all respects, and is the fundamental cause of social evils."
"As a son of this mother earth, I have been trying to liberate everyone from the shackles of superstition and dogmas through propagation of ancient vedic ideals and philosophy", said Sri Sri Balak Brahmachari.
Like in the case of several religious preachers, Sri Sri Balak Brahmachari has been also falsely implicated in several cases and proceedings by vested groups. Even attempts were made on his life right from his childhood days. But Sri Sri Balak Brahmachari carried out his mission with great determination and ever growing popularity all through.
Advent of Balak Brahmachari (Sri Sri Thakur)
When adopting "sannyasa" (complete renunciation of family life and material obligations) Sri Chaitanya assured his grief-stricken maternal uncle Sri Bishnu Das Thakur that He would again appear on this earth as His nephew in the 13th generation of maternal uncle’s lineage.
Famous poet Sri Gopinath Kanthavaran, son-in-law of Sri Bishnu Das Thakur in his book "Nagarjun", noted this dialogue between Sri Chaitanya and His maternal uncle.
This prophecy of Sri Chaitanya was passed on from generation to generation, and the family of Sri Bishnu Das Thakur eagerly awaited re-incarnation of the Sri Chaitanya as the New Messiah.
When a child was born in 13th generation of the family lineage of Sri Bishnu Das Thakur on the auspicious day of Deepawali (festival of lights) on Tuesday, 9th November 1920 at Medinimondal, Vikrampur, Dacca in Bangladesh to Sri Surendra Chandra Chakroborty and Smt. Charushila Devi, the child (who later became Sri Sri Thaku was that promised appearance. (Please refer to section on Life Sketch of Sri Sri Thakur for details).
Sri Sri Thakur has a legion of over 60 million disciples and devotees. Sri Sri Balak Brahmachari unfolded and preached highest tattwas (transcendental truths) from His very infancy- from an age of about five years. His tattwas are absolutely convincing and easily comprehensible based on the scientific truth and principles of Vedas- the Original Vedas.
Sri Sri Thakur entered into samadhi on 5 May 1993 in Kolkata.
-
Sri Chaitanya preached Nama Kirtan (i.e. chanting of holy syllables) consisting of sixteen names and thirty-two letters, namely Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.
-
By uttering these Names and stretching His two hands towards the sky Sri Chaitanya drew everybody near Him irrespective of caste and creed. His mission was to preach the essence of Vedas and Vedic Communism. Through the Bhakti Cult (i.e. the path of devotion) Lord Chaitanya sowed the seed of spiritual knowledge generally into the people. -
By stretching His two hands out towards the sky, Sri Chaitanya gave clear indication that the limitless blue sky is the origin of the entire universe and the repository of the same. Our body, mind, intellect and reason are all as comprehensive as the vast sky.
-
The objective of group chanting is to bring all people, irrespective of their caste or religion, rich or poor, on one platform as a family.
-
Sri Sri Thakur gave us the Name "Ram Narayan Ram" which is the essence of Sri Chaitanya's Nama " Hare Krishna Hare Ram".
-
The Nama "Ram Narayan Ram" does not refer to any god, but to the Great Void. Anything big is called "Ram".
-
"Narayan" refers to the Universal Tune.
-
Chanting of this Holy Nama is beneficial for widening our mental horizon.
