Thakur's Vedic Ideals

  1. Thakur's Vedic Ideals are based on science, logic, mathematics and tune. He is trying to awaken the inner consciousness of the people, liberating them from superstition and dogma.
  2. Thakur says that no one is entitled to claim any credit for any invention here. We are all carrier and propagator of the universal truth. Like sun, moon, planets and stars, we are all workers of this great universe.
  3. Just as the tape recorder is not the singer, we are also not the discoverer of anything. Everything exists here for a purpose. We are a part of the tune of the eternal music and flowing with it.
  4. Our desire to reveal Nature's truth is also Nature's inherent gift because the object of Nature is to express and reveal her eternal tune to all.

What the Vedas Declare...

  1. In the Vedic times, each and everybody, be he king or a subject, rich or poor, were associated with the profession of agriculture. Agriculture used to be considered as a holy profession in Vedic period.
  2. Vedas declared that not a single soul must pass a day without food. There must not be beggary in society. In Vedic age, perfect order was maintained for an equitable food distribution system.
  3. In the Vedic age, there was no hoarding of food items or anything. The Vedas declared hoarders as evil-doers. They were termed as exploiters and the people were ordered to fight against such evil doers.
  4. The great knowledge within the great space are the Vedas.

Chakras - Force Centres

  1. How wonderfully, how rhythmically, are the organs of our body set by the Creator! The entire body is based on the mathematical rule of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  2. Not only the principle of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division is present, but also rhythm, metre, measure and tempo exist in our bodies.
  3. Now think of our "table of life". What formula or succession of rules did we follow in our journey to mother's womb- Didn't we come down gradually through a well set and planned rules, methods and rhythmic scales from the vital elements of Mother Nature. In this process, there were full stop, comma, and semi-comma also.
  4. If we analyse a flower, we find its root in earth, water, air and heat and thus get ended up with infinite properties. We, human beings had once our existence in sperm. Before that we had our existence in blood, water, air, and heat and so on. Hence the powers of vanishing and becoming lighter than air, etc. are our inborn qualities.
  5. What will follow is also settled. This pre-set tune of life is bound to blossom like a Lotus in all of us with the rhythmic tune of Creation. This communion or connectivity is called Yoga. Every one of us is a Yogi, including all the living beings.
  6. Every living soul on this earth is itself a book of mathematics. Every one of us is the sum and summary of all knowledge. But we are all like the mathematics teacher who has lost his book of mathematics, and is searching for it.
  7. In other words, search your inner self, your real identity. Think deeply how you came to mother's womb. In what condition were you before that- Where were you before that- How and what for did you come?
  8. When you begin your journey on the path of self-knowledge, you will automatically be assisted by your conscience. You will get necessary instruction and indication every moment. You don't realise now how wise and helpful is He who is making you alert every time.
  9. A dog does not know how to swim. But if we throw a dog into water, it begins to swim automatically. Our internal instruments like intellect, judgment, and common sense will respond automatically as we move along the path of knowledge.
  10. All the organs of your body - lungs, heart, gall bladder, liver, stomach, veins, arteries, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, eye are working in harmony. This is real Communism. This wonderful harmony within us is the root of Vedic Communism.
  11. In this mundane world, conflicts and quarrels arise as we all want to fulfil transient and limited desires of ours. But as we move in resonance with the Infinite tune, we will be led to the path of Eternal Bliss, which all of us unconsciously strive for in our constant search for lasting happiness.
  12. My body has been built up according to my thoughts. One's body and mind will grow up according to one's thought and activity. If a piece of ice can melt and dissolve in the space through air and light, why can't we escape in the great firmament like the ice- Are we less powerful than a chunk of ice?
  13. From Mother's womb, the body is constantly moving in the path of progress. It is taking a retrogate step. As an infant, you could not stand, then you began to stand. You could not walk, then you started walking. Then you started running and jumping. If you can increase your power in this manner with practice, you will easily succeed in anything -even moving in space.
  14. Everybody has great attachment to oneself, i.e. to his physical existence. If this boundary of "selfism" is widened and extended enough, much of what is beyond the self can easily be brought within one's reach.
  15. There are some very sensitive parts in certain areas of our body. These are called "Chakras" or "Centres of Consciousness". Just as having mastery over seven musical notes - Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, one can master all the musical tunes, similarly, having mastery over the seven centres of consciousness - Muladhar, Swadhisthan, Manipur, Anahata, Bishudha, Aggna and Sahasrar, one can easily master the Eternal Truth, or the Universal Tune.
  16. We are all travelers and our course is along the path of Truth. That Eternal Primordial Sound and Tune lies secured within the compass of seven Chakras, viz Muladhar to Sahasrar, in our body itself.
  17. This Universe is tuned in the seven notes from Muladhar to Sahasrar. All these worldly maladies, grief, sorrow, dirt, difficulties are indications that we are attuned to the universal tune. Our physical body is the echo of that tune itself.
  18. If the tune of the Infinite Void, which is inherently found in everyone, is played on the individual Body Instrument (Like Musical Instrument Veena), then the great tune, which is the source of the Universe, will most certainly be aroused in everyone.
  19. This system of seven Chakras, including the topmost Chakra - Sahasrar, at the specified points of the human body, is to facilitate thinking process.
  20. This arrangement of the Chakras not only exists in human bodies, but also elsewhere and everywhere. Yogis and Rishis have meditated on these Chakras - namely Mullah to Sahasrar and have variously described the basic chakras in differing ways and colours.
  21. Sri Sri Thakur giving darshan at a meeting
But true interpretation and significance of these Chakras can be realised by concentrating on any one of these Chakras as the main point and analysing it thoroughly. Truth exists in all the Chakras.
  22. When concentration is deeply established by applying the mind gradually on the truth, the atoms of the Chakras swell like sago in water. Just as the seed sowed in soil sprouts into seedling when watered, the same condition applies to the Chakras.
  23. If our mind is concentrated on atoms of the Chakras, life starts pulsating in them like the action or reaction of water on the seeds. Remember that Life is the sum of many living organs and cells.
  24. The five vital elements of nature, namely, earth, water, light, air and space that sustains life, are also full of life.
  25. With deep concentration on the subtle elements of the Chakras, power manifests. The heat of concentration of mind opens up and blooms the atoms of the Chakras, just as heat opens up paddy into parched rice.
  26. For example, if one meditates on the glory of the sun in his Aggyan Chakra (between the eyebrows), subtle elements of the Chakra gradually turn into vigorous state and the inner self is illuminated by their radiance. The person so meditating falls into a divine ecstasy with unbound joy.
  27. Our Mind is always in a state of meditation. Thought, logic and mind exist in the centres of Chakras. The sum of the subtle parts is in the centre itself. Atoms and molecules are also present there. All the chakras from Muladhara to Sahasrar are confined in the same strata.
  28. Our life, mind, soul, as they are called, have all sprung from consciousness, which is a kind of motion. And motion exists in every matter. Every matter has emerged from the Great Void, and therefore, it is eagerly speeding in that direction.
  29. When the same motion exists in every matter, it exists in Chakras also. So when Chakra is existent in every matter, one can realise the Supreme Power by concentrating on any matter.
  30. In the Chakra, one is established in the role of a father and mother. Here rests Prakriti and Purus united together. Yogis are engaged in the meditation of that eternal intercourse.
  31. In meditation of the Chakras, secretion also takes place. Secretion starts flowing in the entire brain and its associated nerves and sinews. A condition of excitement or stimulation develops with the flow of secretion and union takes place simultaneously with the thought. In that union, subtle and subtle sense organs, similar to external sense organs, wake up and become active.
  32. Sri Sri Thakur giving darshan at his Sukchar Ashram
If suitable food is not provided then, a positive harm, similar to that caused by lack of food in case of hunger, develops. The normal hunger is satisfied by external objects, i.e. food. But the hunger caused by the flow of thought in deep meditation, can only be satisfied with intense concentration and single minded devotion.
  33. Our meditation is to maintain the speed, keeping in view the eternal speed or motion. We should move on from subtle to subtler things with material forms ever changing in this world. The mystery of matter will then be unfolded to us.
  34. Because of the existence of speed within us from time eternal, we are ever assuming new forms and gather momentum within this multitude of forms. This motion or speed has been possible as there is existence of Will Force.
  35. Every object and whatever is created has a necessity. Nothing is created without a need, and Creation is not without a cause. All that you need to do is to search for that cause. As soon as you delve into it, you will get the clue -Such is the law of creation. Once you get the clue, all your disquiet, doubt or conflict will disappear and enlightenment will come.
  36. Play on your body-veena (Veena is a musical instrument). Bring that tune that has created the world in resonance with your tune. Your mind-instrument will then reveal the truth.
  37. Meditate on the infinite space. If you cannot maintain your thought on the great space, try to visualise the morning sun with soothing crimson hue peeping in the deep blue ocean in your forehead between the eyebrows.
  38. There are certain sensitive parts in our body. With concentration, a sensation is developed in those subtle parts. That sensation leads to creation. Creation occurs even when one thinks, speaks, hears, realises or perceives.
  39. All the chakras of our body are interlinked with the same cord. Jiva is engrossed in the centre of that chakra.
