Thakur's Vedic Ideals
- Thakur's Vedic Ideals are based on science, logic, mathematics and tune. He is trying to awaken the inner consciousness of the people, liberating them from superstition and dogma.
- Thakur says that no one is entitled to claim any credit for any invention here. We are all carrier and propagator of the universal truth. Like sun, moon, planets and stars, we are all workers of this great universe.
- Just as the tape recorder is not the singer, we are also not the discoverer of anything. Everything exists here for a purpose. We are a part of the tune of the eternal music and flowing with it.
- Our desire to reveal Nature's truth is also Nature's inherent gift because the object of Nature is to express and reveal her eternal tune to all.
What the Vedas Declare...
- In the Vedic times, each and everybody, be he king or a subject, rich or poor, were associated with the profession of agriculture. Agriculture used to be considered as a holy profession in Vedic period.
- Vedas declared that not a single soul must pass a day without food. There must not be beggary in society. In Vedic age, perfect order was maintained for an equitable food distribution system.
- In the Vedic age, there was no hoarding of food items or anything. The Vedas declared hoarders as evil-doers. They were termed as exploiters and the people were ordered to fight against such evil doers.
- The great knowledge within the great space are the Vedas.
Mind is a Matter
Our Mind is nothing but a matter. Both our physical body and mind are made up of the same material although it is difficult to accept this readily, as mind is too tiny an object to search. Body and mind are the two states of the same matter like ice and water.- Just as the fragrance of a flower is a matter, so is mind the scent of the body. It spreads everywhere. It exists everywhere, in everything.
- Mind is like water. Its course is similar to that of water that evaporates and vanishes so that it has access everywhere in the space, including in our bodies.
- Our mind is not confined within our body. It stretches all over the space. Mind can wander without the body. This is because it has not lost its original form or characteristics.
- From birth to death, the mind moves on and on in its own original form without waiting for anything. It moves like water and the wind.
- Before our birth, we existed in the form of mind. May be merged with water, air or foodstuff. It was conscious. Mind is ever conscious, it is indestructible.
- Mind is always restless due to its constant thirst for the realization of the self. This mental thirst produces different instincts in everyone like desires, anger, greed, and so on. Different instincts enable us to go forward, and experience the vast Void.
- Mind cannot be confined, just as air and water cannot be confined. Mind, like air, water and space, cannot be inactive or empty. Mind works incessantly, and its action is its mode of expression or strength. Mind thinks, and thought itself is action.
- Mind is more powerful than atom. By mere contemplating, you can bring anything or go anywhere in a split of a second. The will follows the mind.
- Just as physical exercise strengthens muscles of the body, the same way meditation, penance, prayer, and deep contemplation help in unfolding the latent power of the mind.
- In short, mind is the core substance of any matter. It is the primordial sound of the creation.
